Welsh Fine Art · Est. Brecon
Paintings that breathe with the light of Wales.
Original oils by Annette Davies — landscapes drawn from the Brecon Beacons, luminous florals, and intimate still life painted in slow, considered layers.
A Note from the Studio
"I paint to give the hills their voice — the way the light folds over a ridge, the hush before a storm, the particular green of a Welsh spring."
— Annette Davies

The Artist
Painted slowly, in layered light.
From a converted barn studio on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Annette paints in traditional oils — building each work over weeks of glazes, scumbles and considered impasto. The result is canvases that hold the weather of Wales: shifting, atmospheric, alive.
Her work is collected privately across the UK and beyond, with pieces in homes from Cardiff to California.

In Situ
A painting becomes a room.
A good painting changes the light in a room. It draws the eye, slows the conversation, and quietly anchors a home. Browse a few of Annette's pieces in their new homes — or send a photograph of your wall and we can talk size and scale together.
"Annette's painting of the Usk valley is the first thing I see each morning. It changes with the light in the room — every day it feels new. It is the heart of our home."
— Eleri Morgan, private collector, Cardiff

A painting made for the wall it will live on.
