"Begun in August 2024 after a long walk along the ridge above Cwm Sere. I spent four hours sitting with a small sketchbook before any paint went down, and a further six weeks in the studio building the surface up in glazes. The painting was finished on the morning of the autumn equinox, exactly as the first cold wind arrived."
